YANCCE’s flagship initiatives driving climate awareness, resilience, and youth action across Pakistan.
The Heatwave Management Camp and Sessions focused on training participants in coping strategies, preventive measures, and community responses during extreme heat events. A heatwave camp was organized for local residents to help them better understand how to handle such conditions.
The Waste Management and Mental Health Initiative launched awareness campaigns and practical interventions aimed at reducing urban waste, enhancing sanitation, and encouraging recycling. It also emphasized the connection between climate stressors and mental health, promoting dialogue and community support systems.
Supported by the Sindh Community Foundation, the Environmental Gala 2023 was a significant event hosted by YANCCE. It brought together youth, civil society, and policymakers to celebrate environmental action, youth-led initiatives, and best practices in climate resilience across Pakistan.
